Welcome to my website. Here you'll learn about my practice, my background, and the services I offer.
I have been blessed with a fulfilling and perhaps unique career thus far. I've spent much of my time specializing in the field of anxiety disorders. In addition to my clinical practice, I've been able to combine my love of writing with my interest in psychology by writing three popular self-help books on anxiety disorders, and one on marriage. (See Books Page). I've been privileged to work with people crippled by anxiety who go on to lead full and satisfying lives. One woman who had panic attacks and was afraid to leave her home was eventually able to travel around the globe. See the Clinical page for services I offer.
I have also been fortunate to receive much media attention from my work (See "In The News"). While it was exciting to be on the The Today Show and Good Morning America, the most satisfying part of my work is getting emails from people all over the world who tell me reading my books has made a profound difference in their lives.
Over the past several years, I've grown interested in the field of forensic psychology - the study of human behavior and how it applies to the law. I never thought it would be an area that would appeal to me, but it satisfies my analytical side of liking to put pieces of a puzzle together, and it also involves much research and writing, two areas that come naturally to me.
